WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Beautiful dark color. The wine is well balanced and structured as regards to tannin/acidity. In the mouth, very typical of the vintage: somewhat reserved, but above all, showing opulent body and depth that augur a lovely evolution in the bottle.
TASTING NOTES:
This red offers forward aromas and flavors of strawberry and cherry, with a herbaceous hint of mint on an elegant, harmonious frame.—Non-blind 2010 DRC tasting (March 2013). Best from 2016 through 2032

This is not a great showing for the 2009 Echezeaux. Today the structural elements seem to dominate the wine’s balance. I find little of the seduction and charm the Echezeaux showed when its was in barrel. It is hard to believe this is a representative bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.
