2010 TASTING NOTES:
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-impressive. A firm, full-bodied wine, it showcases the best of Coombsville in its powerful fruit and equally imposing yet well-balanced tannins. Black plums, black currants, mint, graphite, pencil shavings, violets and spices all flow through to the incisive, powerful finish.

2012 TASTING NOTES:
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is fabulous. A prodigious effort, with notes of blackberry liqueur mixed with charcoal, white flowers, sweet oak and underlying wet rocks, giving it minerality and additional complexity. It’s full-bodied, dense, very concentrated, with the vintage’s telltale opulence and voluptuous texture well displayed. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.

2014 TASTING NOTES:
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from Kobalt comes from two sites in Coombsville and is 100%Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 23 months in French oak. It’s a concentrated, full-bodied 2014 that shows the supple, sexy, seamless and forward style of this vintage nicely. With lots of blueberries, cedar, violets and lead pencil aromatics, a perfumed, lifted style and fine tannin, it’s a beautiful 2014 that can be drunk anytime over the coming 15-20 years.
