WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
A deep garnet with brilliant highlights On the nose, raspberry, garrigues and hints of orange zest. Full bodied, with loads of red fruits and a creamy midpalate. Tannins are very fine, giving a fresh and long finish.
This renowned appellation produces wines of power and depth. The variety of soils and microclimates allow for a great diversity of style. Favoring sandy soils with cooler exposures our blend of Grenache and Syrah spiced with a splash of Mourvèdre and aged in demi-muids delivers incredible purity and freshness while keeping a hedonistic signature.
TASTING NOTES:
Made by Michel Gassier and a new wine in the lineup, the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape is a beautiful wine that shows the elegant, silky, seamless style of the vintage brilliantly. Red and black fruits, herbes de Provence, spice, and peppery garrigue notes are just some of its nuances, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. This gem of a wine shows the quality of this vintage, as well as the talent of the winemaker. The blend is 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, brought up all in used demi-muids.
