WINEMAKER NOTES:
Our 2020 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir is a wonderful gift from Mother Nature. The perfect terroir and geographic location played a role in ensuring that despite a difficult vintage, we were able to bottle our flagship wine and quite pleased with the result. We picked this vineyard a bit earlier than usual out of an urgency to protect our fruit and what we discovered throughout the aging of the wine in barrel is an incredibly elegant wine, with dancing acidity that will wake your palate. Asian five-spice, black cherry and a hint of lavender are evident on the nose. The lively entry features bright black berry notes along with ripe red cherry and milk chocolate that give way to warm spice and a faint suggestion of exotic flowers. Mouthcoating and round, the tannins are fine-grained and well-integrated for such a youthful wine. The lingering finish leaves us longing for another sip.
TASTING NOTES:
Vibrant fruits, subtle herb and oak accents, and nervy acidity bring an elegant but powerful expression to this focused, delicious and just slightly restrained wine. Great balance, moderate tannins and the fruit intensity all indicate more enjoyment with time.

Aromas of ripe red and black fruit, bark and oolong. Full-bodied with bright, berry acidity. Velvety tannins. More fruity than the nose lets on, but it’s savory at its core. Sage and rosemary. Complex, but remains approachable. Tight. Great length

The 2020 Pinot Noir Meredith Estate is rich with primary fruit and notes of black cherry cola, lavender candy, and pine sap. The structure is full and grounding, with cocoa powder, red plum skin, and cedar spice. Hold this another year or so and drink over the next 15 years.
