WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
This 100% Sangiovese wine hails from the prestigious area between Impruneta and Strada in Chianti, located 15km south of Florence, renowned for its Tuscan wine heritage. The soil, a calcareous blend of clay and marl, contributes to its unique character. Hand-harvested in small crates to preserve fruit integrity, fermentation includes 20% whole bunches with indigenous yeasts, conducted naturally without inoculation. Aged in amphorae with gentle manual plungings for approximately 30 days, followed by 4-6 months of clay aging. This biodynamic wine, while from the Chianti sub-region, cannot bear the "Chianti" label due to strict classification laws.
