WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Beautiful garnet color, clear and bright ; the nose has notes of clove, licorice, ripe berries and plum ; the mouth is concentrated, with a charming sweetness and fine tannins. The Tradition is a fine wine with a long length and dedicated to a long life.
TASTING NOTES:
A terrific classic cuvée, the 2022 Gigondas Tradition is mostly Grenache yet includes 23% Syrah, 3% Mourvèdre, and 2% Cinsault. It doesn't have the elegance of the Terrasses des Dentelles but brings incredible Provençal character in its red and black fruit, leather, garrigue, and cedary nuances. This medium to full-bodied, concentrated, layered, textured 2022 will drink well for a solid decade.
