WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
With an intense and deep color, Colosi's Nero d'Avola presents itself in the glass with a rich ruby hue, foreshadowing its complex organoleptic qualities. On the nose, it is distinguished by a bouquet of black fruits, including prominent notes of blackberry and ripe cherry, enriched by nuances of sweet spices such as vanilla and a hint of tobacco and dark chocolate, derived from skillful aging in barrique.
On the palate, the wine is vigorous and full-bodied, with a well-balanced tannic structure that promises excellent aging potential. The acidity is harmonious and perfectly complements the fruity intensity, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of warmth and complexity.
Ideal as a companion for hearty dishes, it pairs perfectly with traditional Sicilian cuisine such as Pasta alla Norma or baked lamb. It is also an excellent choice to accompany aged cheeses and grilled red meats.
