WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The F.lli Borgogno Albarella Barolo is known for its intense and deep color, a loaded ruby that tends to acquire garnet nuances with aging. On the nose, it opens with a complex bouquet where notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and plum, stand out, enriched by spicy accents of tobacco, leather, and delicate veins of vanilla and dark chocolate, due to aging in wood.
In the mouth, the wine shows a robust but harmonious structure, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent freshness that balances the intensity of the fruit. The evolution on the palate is elegant, culminating in a long and pleasantly spicy finish.
Aging occurs in oak barrels for at least two years, followed by further refinement in the bottle, which allows the wine to develop those typically earthy and underbrush characters, so desired by Barolo lovers.
The F.lli Borgogno Albarella Barolo pairs beautifully with rich and structured dishes, ideal with braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. Perfect also as a meditation wine, this Barolo promises to evolve magnificently for the coming decades, making it a true jewel in the cellar of enthusiasts.
