WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Inky dark ruby in color. A beautifully warm, dry vintage, yet painful in the light yields we were able to grow. Small amounts of great wine! Classic aromas of cedar and rosemary, ripe red fruit and wafts of clove and fresh plum. The wine is concentrated, rich, loaded with tannin that is pillowy with no hard edges. Constantly evolving in the glass- something we love in great wines. Decant now and drink through 2040.
TASTING NOTES:
The ride begins with blueberry and black olive aromas graced by anise and thyme notes. Grippy tannins and a full-bodied mouthfeel accompany the wine's red raspberry, pomegranate and cedar flavors. There's also a wee spice note that's difficult to pin down. Enjoy with steak and portobello mushrooms from 2024–2038.
