Blood oranges and black plums duel with seared steak and cedar aromas for aromatic supremacy. The wine's muscular tannins provide a nice structure upon which to hang copious amounts of blackberry and blueberry fruit flavors. The fruit is joined by bits of saline and pepper. I have a new beef jerky pairing.
