TASTING NOTES:
The Petite Sirahs are three very good efforts from Envy. The 2013 Petite Sirah Calistoga Estate has a dense ruby/purple color, medium body, good, juicy fruit, not much complexity, and somewhat simple flavors, but it is well-done.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Our vineyards naturally produce Petite Sirah of balance and texture. They achieve a naturally textured mouth feel without being aggressive on the palate. The tannins are robust and full, with plenty of dark fruits, blackcurrant and briar. The soils natural high mineralogy causes the vines to self regulate their yields, lowering the carying capacity of fruit which focuses the flavor intensity on the remaining bunches. This is a deep, rich and supple wine.
