WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
A rich hint of loamy earth underscores flavors of dried black cherry, anise and dried thyme, with a touch of citrus peel, in this fresh, finely knit red. Full-bodied, featuring a dense core of tannins that provides firm definition throughout, though the balance suggests this should open nicely with short-term cellaring.
TASTING NOTES:
This classic Sagrantino offers intense aromas of cassis, blackberry fruit leather, licorice, allspice and dried flowers. The concentrated palate displays a firm and well-structured character, with generous fruit elements and subtle savory and earthy notes. Cellaring will unveil its full potential. Drink 2028–2042.
