WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Salvestrin's approach for the Dr. Crane Vineyard Estate Cabernet Sauvignon emphasizes balance and elegance instead of power and opulence. The texture is velvety without compromising its inherent Cabernet weight, the mid palate is juicy and the finish persistently chalky yet polished. Hints of barrel tones including baking spice and vanilla on the palate mingle with notes of red plum and fennel.
TASTING NOTES:
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Crane Vineyard offers up beguiling scents of Morello cherries, mulberries and blackcurrant pastilles, plus underlying cinnamon stick, chocolate mint and tilled soil hints. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals a firm and fine-grained texture, allowing the black and red fruits to shimmer with jaw-dropping energy, finishing on a persistent spicy note.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Dr. Crane Vineyard is cut from the same cloth, offering a Graves-like array of tobacco, scorched earth, chocolate, and cassis. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with a great finish, it’s slightly more fleshy and approachable than the 2018 and will shine for 15 years as well. Best After 2022

A racy-edged Cabernet, with cassis and damson plum notes lined with savory and iron accents. The toast is judicious on the finish, letting the fruit and savory elements leave a mouthwatering echo.
