WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
100% Nebbiolo from sand and limestone soils. Maceration takes place for 30-40 days in large oak casks, with frequent use of remontage. Following malolactic fermentation the wine is aged for 30 months in oak casks. After bottling, the wine is allowed a further 6 months aging in horizontal racks.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2020 Barolo is a classy, mid-weight wine. Dried herbs, leather, tobacco, incense, crushed flowers and dried fruit are all laced together in an understated, nuanced Barolo that is loaded with character and complexity.
