The Januik Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from a short list of vineyards considered to be among the best in the state; including Ciel du Cheval, Champoux, Weinbau, Lady Hawk and Obelisco vineyards. The diversity of these vineyards represent many of the most mature, carefully managed sites in Washington. Together, they provide for a full range of fruit expression that allows Januik to craft complex, multi-layered wines true to Columbia Valley terroir as well as the varietal character of the grapes.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is understated, displaying a balanced blend of sweet herbs and musky black currant. It's soft and pliant, with depths of tart red and black fruits guided by brisk acidity. The 2021 possesses lovely balance, finishing lightly structured and fresh, with a lingering tinge of bitter cocoa.
