WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The 2023 Fumé Blanc emanates the classic Dry Creek Vineyard “house” style of Sauvignon Blanc. Aromatics of lemon, lime and grapefruit leap forward from the glass with both fruit and floral nuances of tangerine, mango, honeysuckle and geranium. On the palate, the wine is intense and bright with passionfruit, peach and cucumber. Underlying minerality and hints of lemongrass, parsley and ginger contribute to this wine’s refreshing, crisp finish.
TASTING NOTES:
Fresh and minerally aromas of lemon confit, passion fruit, cut grass and flint. The palate is light- to medium-bodied with bright acidly and a creamy texture, giving notes of pineapple, lychees and river stones. Nicely constructed.
- James Suckling, 92 pts.
Fragrant, expressive and distinctive, with plenty to admire among the lemongrass, lemon verbena and lemon-lime flavors at the core. Shows accents of green tea and lemon balm, plus a hint of orange sherbet, all on a sleek frame.
