The 2023 Barbera d'Asti Ca' di Pian is soft, supple and delicious. A burst of blueberry, black cherry, spice, lavender, menthol and chocolate gives the 2023 tons of immediacy and sheer appeal. This is an especially fine edition of La Spinetta's entry-level Barbera. Best of all, this is a terrific value.

The 2023 Barbera D'Asti Superiore Ca' Di Pian pours an opaque red/magenta hue and is sourced from a blend of 18 vineyards across three zones. Aromatically, it’s ripe and seductive, with preserved blackberries, candied violets, blue fruit, sweet herbs, and mocha. Medium to full-bodied, it offers vibrant acidity with supple, silky tannins and a generous finish. This overdelivers for the price.
